Soul Reaches Divine Abode Through Bhagwat Katha and Chanting: Yugal Kishore Shastri

The Shrimad Bhagwat Katha allows the soul to reach the divine abode, says Shri Yugal Kishore Shastri during the weekly discourse in Amrit Gundicha Mandir.

JAMSHEDPUR – Today marks the second day of the weekly Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, held at Amrit Gundicha Mandir Rajasthan Bhawan, celebrating the Rath Yatra of Shri Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu.

This event is organized by the Bhartiya Krishna Bhavanamrit Sangh.

Shri Yugal Kishore Shastri, hailing from Shri Dham Vrindavan, narrated the Katha, detailing the birth of Maharaj Parikshit, son of Abhishek, Shamik Rishi, Shringi Rishi’s curse of Parikshit to be bitten by the Takshak snake, King Parikshit’s disillusionment, his arrival at the Ganges, and Sri Sri Shukdev Goswami Maharaj’s teachings.

He also described the ten signs of Bhagwat and shared the dialogue between Mata Devhuti and Kapil, underscoring the glory of the Guru, the story of Varah Avatar, the salvation of Hiranyaksha, and the splendor of Shri Dham Vrindavan.

Shastri emphasized that by listening to Shrimad Bhagwat Katha and chanting the name of Hari, not only can one’s soul achieve salvation but also reach the eternal abode of God.

By engaging in these devotional practices, one can reside at the divine feet of God for an infinite time.

A large number of participants, including mothers, sisters, devotees, and service officers like Prabhu Dwarka Balram Das, Anadi Krishna Das, and others, took part in the Katha, immersing themselves in the story and Bhagwat chant.
