JAMSHEDPUR – President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in the city on December 29 to participate in Ol Chiki script centenary celebrations at Jahrasthan in Karandih, Parsudih.
Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar will lead the traditional tribal welcome. The president will perform prayers at Jahrasthan. A 10-minute break will follow the worship ceremony.
The main program will begin after the break. President Murmu will spend one hour at the venue. She will then depart for NIT’s convocation ceremony in Adityapur, Seraikela.
The tribal community of Parsudih organized a press conference today. Ravindra Nath Murmu, president of the tribal society, shared program details. He explained the event schedule and arrangements.
Kasturba Gandhi school girls will perform the national anthem. The president will reach the stage first. Dignitaries will light ceremonial lamps to inaugurate the event.
The ceremony will honor 100 distinguished individuals. President Murmu will remain at Jahrasthan throughout the hour-long program. Meanwhile, preparations continue for her subsequent visit to NIT Jamshedpur.
