JAMSHEDPUR – A landlord allegedly assaulted his tenant with a hockey stick over five months of unpaid rent in Bagbera area’s Dibi Road on Saturday.

Kriti Devi reported the incident involving her husband. Vikki Kumar Yadav suffered serious injuries during the assault. The victim was brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

The complainant stated they hadn’t paid rent for five months. She cited unspecified reasons for the payment delay. However, the landlord took violent action over the arrears.

The accused landlord attacked Vikki Kumar with a hockey stick. He sustained severe head wounds in the assault. Moreover, his legs suffered serious injuries during the beating.

Kriti Devi rushed her injured husband to Sadar Hospital for medical attention. She accused the landlord of brutal violence. The incident occurred in Bagbera police station jurisdiction.

The assault case highlights landlord-tenant disputes in the area. Medical staff are treating the victim’s injuries. The extent of damage is being assessed currently.

Police authorities have been informed about the incident. Investigation into the matter is expected soon. The victim’s condition remains under medical observation.
