DC launches ‘Nirog’ game app to spread awareness on corona

Nirog app now available in Google Play Store and Apple Store

Jamshedpur: The DC of East Singhbhum Suraj Kumar on Tuesday launched a health and game app ‘Nirog’ to spread awareness about corona infection.

The district administration has been making efforts to make people aware about corona and the ways to prevent its spread.

In the second year of the Corona period also, the Nirog App was launched by the district administration before the possible third wave of Covid-19. This will help young persons as well as adults to know more about corona infection.

The app was developed by the District Administration and Flying Ants Studio. It has been named Nirog and it is now available for download in Google Play Store as well as Apple Store.

A presentation of the app was done in the presence of the DC on Tuesday. Simultaneously, it was also launched.

Through the Nirog app, many information has been made available through video clips to prevent spread of corona.

This app also has several games for children. Through these games, the children can learn a lot. The developers of the app were felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner of the district with a citation.

He also appealed to the residents of all the districts to be alert and careful about the risks of a possible third wave.

During Corona crisis, public awareness was created through different initiatives, including the mascot ‘Hudhud’ at malls, markets, shops and other public places.

District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar and Social Media Publicity Officer Laxmi Purti were felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner. They were given a memento and citation for their role in creating awareness and better implementation of IEC activity in the district.

Also a part of the Hudhud team Prof. Giridhar Ramachandran, Itisha Dwivedi, Vijish Kurup, Prashant Pawar, Joybrato Dutta, and Abhinit Krishna were also felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner with a citation.

During this, the District Agriculture Department was appreciated for providing the success stories. On this occasion, the District Agriculture Officer Mithilesh Kalindi received a citation from the Deputy Commissioner.
