JAMSHEDPUR – Local authorities apprehended a vegetable vendor from Mango area for allegedly sending an extortion threat message for Rs 5 crore from Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

The Mumbai Police, collaborating with local law enforcement, conducted intensive raids across Jamshedpur.

After three days of searching, the team successfully captured the prime suspect.

The police reportedly found the exact mobile device used to send the threatening messages.

Authorities seized the phone containing crucial evidence linked to the extortion attempt.

A Rising Crime Trend

The accused reportedly drew inspiration from news coverage about Lawrence Bishnoi’s threats.

The suspect utilized Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp number to deliver the menacing message.

Police teams also searched extensively in Jugsalai and Bagbera localities.

Investigation Deepens

Sheikh Hussain faces transit remand as Mumbai Police prepare to continue their probe.

According to reports, the accused confessed to sending the message after watching television reports about Lawrence Bishnoi.

The message demanded Rs 5 crore while referencing the ongoing Bishnoi-Khan dispute.
