JAMSHEDPUR – Union Minister and BJP election in-charge for Jharkhand, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has promised to create 2.87 lakh jobs for the state’s youth if BJP forms the government.

Chouhan made this pledge at a rally in Baharagora, East Singhbhum.

He urged voters to elect BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.

Moreover, Chouhan promised to approve filling 2.87 lakh vacant positions in the first cabinet meeting.

The minister criticized the current government’s performance over the past four and a half years.

He accused them of pretending to act only as elections approach.

Furthermore, Chouhan launched a scathing attack on the Hemant Soren-led administration.

He branded the JMM government as one of "crime, corruption, and lawlessness."

The BJP leader likened the current regime to a severe crisis for Jharkhand.

Additionally, Chouhan expressed optimism for a political shift in the state.

He predicted the end of the "darkness" prevailing under Soren’s rule.

Meanwhile, the minister addressed concerns of Jharkhand’s women regarding safety and livelihoods.

Chouhan accused the current administration of failing to safeguard these fundamental aspects.

He highlighted fears of foreign infiltration, rising crime rates, and unemployment.

The BJP leader pledged to protect Jharkhand’s land, ensure jobs, and safeguard its daughters.

On the other hand, a delegation from the Election Commission arrived in Ranchi.

Led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, they will review election preparedness.

The 81-member legislative assembly is scheduled for polls before January 2025.

In the last election, JMM secured 30 seats, BJP won 25, and Congress 16.

This sets the stage for a tightly contested political battle later this year.
