The girl, who lived near the Hero Honda service center in Jhabri Basti, left her home on September 6 around 2 PM after posting messages indicating she was being harassed by a boy and intended to end her life.

In her note, she apologized to her father before leaving.

Her parents, Vishambhar Murmu and his wife, both daily wage laborers, repeatedly approached the Sonari police station to report their daughter’s disappearance.

However, their complaints were initially dismissed, and they were asked to make corrections to their application.

After three days of no action from the police, the family sought help from Vikas Singh, who then contacted the Sonari police, urging them to file a case.

Vikas Singh visited the distraught family, expressing concern over the police’s delay in taking the case seriously.

He mentioned plans to escalate the matter to the Senior Superintendent of Police, stressing the need for a thorough search to locate the missing girl.
