Hemant Soren Released After 149 Days, Criticizes Central Government

Former Jharkhand CM Vows to Continue Political Struggle Upon Freedom

Soren’s release sparks political tensions as he hints at new strategies and denounces alleged attempts to silence opposition voices across India.

RANCHI – Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was released from jail on Friday after 149 days, immediately addressing journalists and implicitly criticizing the NDA government at the center.

"I was kept in jail for five months based on a fabricated story," Soren stated, emphasizing the impact on Jharkhand’s indigenous people and tribals.

Emotional Family Reunion

Upon release, Soren first sought blessings from his father and JMM supremo Shibu Soren.

His mother, Roopi Soren, appeared overjoyed to see her son after nearly five months.

Wife Kalpana Soren greeted him at the jail gate, while his sons expressed unbounded happiness at his return.

Soren’s Statements on Incarceration

The former CM expressed respect for the court but also voiced concerns about the justice system.

He alluded to a broader pattern of silencing politicians, social workers, writers, and journalists across the country.

"What happened in my case is not hidden from anyone, but I will work to take the struggle I’ve pledged to its destination," Soren asserted.

Future Plans and Political Implications

Soren hinted at revealing a new strategy soon, without divulging specific details.

He suggested that the court’s decision sends a message not only across Jharkhand but throughout India.

The former CM’s release and statements are likely to reshape political dynamics in Jharkhand and potentially impact national opposition strategies.
