In a swift operation following the bombing incident near MTC Mall in Adityapur, police have made crucial arrests, unveiling the culprits and progressing the case rapidly.
SERAIKELA – In a recent breakthrough, Adityapur Police have arrested two individuals linked to the bombing incident that occurred last Tuesday evening, according to Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) Santosh Mishra.
Under Mishra’s leadership, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) identified and apprehended notorious criminals Moti Vishoi and Mantosh Mahato. Their apprehension was facilitated by crucial CCTV footage and a subsequent technical investigation which confirmed their involvement.
Arrest and Investigation Progress
The police’s quick response to the bombing incident near MTC Mall led to the capture of two known criminals within a short span, showcasing effective law enforcement. During their capture, items including mobile phones, DVRs from the scene’s CCTV, and clothing worn during the crime were seized.
SDPO Mishra stated, "The investigation is still ongoing, and due to its sensitivity, we cannot yet disclose details regarding the mastermind behind this act."
Suspected Mastermind and Further Details
If reliable sources are correct, this bombing was orchestrated by the elusive Karthik Munda, who allegedly enticed Mantosh Mahato with money and property to execute the attack. Mantosh is reported to have directly thrown the bomb that caused injuries to local businessmen.
A source revealed, "Karthik Munda has been a mysterious figure in the criminal underworld here, and his direct involvement in orchestrating this attack is still under intense scrutiny."
