Ranchi Police Arrest Two Suspects in Ormanjhi Gang Rape Case

Breakthrough in investigation of minor’s assault brings relief to authorities

RANCHI – Ranchi police have arrested two suspects in connection with the Ormanjhi gang rape case that has shocked the community.

The arrests come after mounting pressure on law enforcement to solve the case involving the assault of a minor girl.

Ranchi SSP Chandan Sinha personally monitored the investigation, leading to the apprehension of the accused.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Subodh Kumar Jaiswal and Hiralal Mahto, both residents of Ormanjhi.

The incident occurred on June 18 in the Ormanjhi police station area, involving a 15-year-old girl.

The victim, who occasionally resorted to begging with her mother, was sleeping near the Panchayat Secretariat when the attack took place.

Assailants in a car forcibly abducted the girl, taking her to Anandi Bageecha where the assault occurred.

After the crime, the perpetrators abandoned the minor victim on the roadside near Anandi Bageecha.

The case sparked immediate action from Ranchi police, with multiple teams working to apprehend the suspects.

This development brings a sense of relief to the community and demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to solving heinous crimes.

The investigation continues as police work to ensure all involved parties are brought to justice.
