JAMSHEDPUR – A young woman was critically injured after a knife attack in Chaibasa while returning home from tuition.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening near Rajiv Gandhi Chowk in Chaibasa. An unidentified युवक suddenly attacked the girl with a knife.

Meanwhile, the attacker struck her around 10 to 12 times. She suffered severe injuries and collapsed at the scene.

However, locals quickly gathered and informed her family members. With help from police, she was rushed to Sadar Hospital in Chaibasa.

Moreover, doctors provided initial treatment but found her condition critical. She was later referred to Jamshedpur for advanced care.

On the other hand, the brutal nature of the attack has caused fear in the area. Residents expressed concern over rising safety issues.

Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the case. Efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest the accused युवक.

In contrast, similar incidents in recent months have raised security concerns in smaller towns. Authorities have increased vigilance following repeated attacks on women.

Moreover, officials stated that surveillance and patrolling may be intensified. The case has again highlighted gaps in public safety measures.
