JAMSHEDPUR – A 25-year-old resident of Shastrinagar was shot at close range near Imambada on Thursday evening, leading to tension across the Kadma locality.
The attack took place near Block 2 and Cross Road 6. However, the gunmen fled immediately after firing.
Moreover, the victim, Mohammad Taukir, suffered critical wounds and collapsed at the site.
He was taken to Tata Main Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead soon after arrival.
In addition, news of the killing spread quickly in the neighbourhood, causing fear among residents.
Police from Kadma Station reached the crime scene and began examining the area. Moreover, officers started checking CCTV footage from the surrounding lanes.
