JAMSHEDPUR – A 25-year-old resident of Shastrinagar was shot at close range near Imambada on Thursday evening, leading to tension across the Kadma locality.

The attack took place near Block 2 and Cross Road 6. However, the gunmen fled immediately after firing.
Moreover, the victim, Mohammad Taukir, suffered critical wounds and collapsed at the site.

He was taken to Tata Main Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead soon after arrival.
In addition, news of the killing spread quickly in the neighbourhood, causing fear among residents.

Police from Kadma Station reached the crime scene and began examining the area. Moreover, officers started checking CCTV footage from the surrounding lanes.
On the other hand, initial findings suggested that Taukir too had earlier links with criminal activity.

Investigators are looking into possible rivalry motives. Besides, they are reviewing older records associated with him.
Meanwhile, patrolling has been intensified around the locality to maintain order.

Police noted that similar violent incidents have occurred in the broader region in the past, including the Kadma murder arrest.
Moreover, past cases such as the one in which six people were named in an FIR have added to local concerns.

In addition, earlier events like the Alok Munna case contributed to the area’s tense environment.
Besides, a quadruple-murder verdict reserve also highlighted the recurring pattern of crime in the zone.

Similar occurrences have been reported earlier near Kadma Bazaar, including a shooting incident that created widespread concern.
