Ex-Servicemen Celebrate Navy Day at Bhuiyandih Community Hall

Naval Veterans Honored with Shawls and Mementos at Annual Event

JAMSHEDPUR – Ex-Servicemen Welfare Council East Singhbhum organized Navy Day celebrations at Bhuiyandih Pritam Park community hall today. The ceremony honored naval veterans and their families.

Brigadier Ranvijay Singh (retired) attended as chief guest. Kolhan Sainik Welfare Officer Colonel Kishore Singh participated actively. Moreover, ADAM Officer Colonel Tauqib Muntakhaab joined the proceedings.

ECHS Officer Incharge Group Captain OP Singh represented the organization. Subedar Phatebahadur from 220 Field Regiment attended as representative. However, Brahmanand Hospital sent Durga Agrawal as their delegate.

Social worker Sachin and Neeraj Singh also participated. Hindu Peeth representative Arun Singh attended the function. In addition, Councillor Deeljoy Bose and Himanshu Seth joined guests.

The program commenced with the national anthem formally. Naval veterans cut cake alongside guests and organizational representatives. Furthermore, dignitaries honored sailors with shawls and mementos respectfully.

Naval veterans shared their life experiences during service. Retired officers from Army, Air Force, Navy attended together. Families accompanied servicemen to the special celebration today.

Manoj Thakur delivered the welcome address to assembled gathering. Sushil Kumar Singh conducted proceedings smoothly throughout the event. Moreover, Army and Air Force personnel extended best wishes.

“Our forces remain vigilant at borders constantly,” speakers emphasized. This vigilance enables citizens to sleep peacefully at home. In addition, national development proceeds rapidly under security umbrella.

Military service promotes mutual unity and discipline significantly. These qualities prove essential for progress in every field. However, discipline forms the backbone of organizational success always.

The 1971 war demonstrated Indian Navy’s remarkable capabilities decisively. Indian warships sank Pakistani vessels at Karachi harbor directly. Moreover, smoke engulfed the entire port during operations.

“Enemy’s backbone broke during that decisive battle,” veterans recalled. Pakistani forces surrendered on December 16, 1971 completely. December 4 marks Navy Day commemorating that strategic victory.

Participants enjoyed diverse culinary delights at the celebration. Golgappa, papdi chaat, chowmein, corn chaat were served. Furthermore, kesar milk, coffee, ice cream featured on menu.

Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes satisfied attendees’ tastes completely. Military families danced to patriotic songs enthusiastically together. On the other hand, the atmosphere remained festive throughout evening.

Program coordinator Omendra Kumar delivered vote of thanks formally. Commander Raman Srivastava contributed significantly to event’s success. Moreover, Sushil Kumar Singh, Rajiv Ranjan assisted organizing committee.

Manoj Thakur, Hansraj Singh, Anubhav Singh worked tirelessly. Rajendra Tiwari, Javed Khan, Shivshankar Chakraborty supported arrangements actively. In addition, Arvind Singh and Abhay Singh coordinated logistics.

Kundan Sahu, Ramji Dubey, Arjun Thakur participated actively. Munna Dubey, Shiv Bichar, Kamal Bash Thakur attended ceremony. Furthermore, Anuaj Singh, Harendu Sharma, Rajesh Kumar Singh assisted.

Manish, Shailesh Kumar, Jitendra Kumar joined organizing team. Ranjit Kumar, Sudhir Kumar, Amit Kumar coordinated activities smoothly. However, Dhananjay Pandey and Anil also contributed significantly.

Approximately 300 military families attended the grand celebration. The event strengthened bonds among ex-servicemen from different forces. Moreover, younger generation learned about naval heritage and sacrifice.
