CRPF Jawan Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances in Chaibasa Camp

Colleagues Rushed Him to Hospital but Doctors Declared Him Dead

Key Points:

  • CRPF jawan collapses suddenly at Chhotanagra camp
  • Doctors declare him dead after emergency check-up
  • Postmortem to confirm suspected cardiac arrest

CHAIBASA – A 52-year-old CRPF jawan posted at Chhotanagra in West Singhbhum district died on Saturday morning under mysterious circumstances.

According to official reports, the jawan, identified as Rajesh Kumar, was on duty at the CRPF 193 (F) Camp when he suddenly felt dizzy and fell unconscious. His colleagues immediately took him to the Manoharpur Health Centre for urgent medical attention. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Meanwhile, the police have dispatched the body for postmortem to confirm the cause of death. Officials from the CRPF and district administration reached the camp shortly after being informed and initiated a probe into the incident.

Preliminary information suggests a possible cardiac arrest. However, the exact reason will be known only after the postmortem report is released.

Recently, similar incidents involving paramilitary personnel have been reported across Jharkhand. A Saranda forest blast and other field deployments have raised concerns about health risks faced by CRPF jawans working in challenging terrains.

According to one insider, “The force has been prioritizing preventive health checks, but sudden medical emergencies continue to occur.” The regional command is expected to prepare a report for the headquarters following this incident.
