JAMSHEDPUR – Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has criticized the Hemant Soren government for multiple lathi-charge incidents against tribal communities.

Champai Soren accused the administration of anti-tribal conduct. He questioned how a government claims tribal support. However, it uses force against tribal people.

The former chief minister listed four separate incidents. Bhognadih witnessed the first lathi-charge episode. Ranchi’s Sarna site saw another police action. Moreover, tribal protesters faced batons at Nagdi RIMS-2.

The latest incident occurred in Chaibasa recently. Transport Minister Deepak Birua allegedly ordered the action. Tribal people had come to submit petition. Instead, they faced police violence.

Champai Soren raised serious questions about government’s character. He said this administration doesn’t understand tribal pain. The government has become blind and deaf.

The former chief minister issued a political warning. Tribal communities will teach this government a lesson. His statement has intensified political activity across Jharkhand.

The accusations focus on government’s treatment of protesters. Each incident involved tribal people seeking administrative attention. In contrast, they received forceful police response.

Political observers note the timing of criticism. Tribal vote banks remain crucial in Jharkhand politics. Furthermore, Champai Soren’s influence among tribal communities stays significant.

The government hasn’t responded to these allegations yet. Meanwhile, opposition parties may capitalize on these statements. The controversy adds to existing political tensions.
