JAMSHEDPUR – Panic gripped Jugsalai’s Millat Nagar on Friday evening after gunshots echoed through the area, leaving one youth injured.

According to eyewitnesses, local resident Jafar Ali alias Raju was standing near his house when unknown assailants fired at him and fled the scene.

However, the sudden attack triggered chaos in the neighborhood. Locals rushed the wounded youth to Tata Main Hospital, where he is currently under treatment.

Meanwhile, police from Jugsalai station reached the spot immediately and sealed off the area for investigation. Officers began reviewing nearby CCTV footage to identify the shooters.

Police sources indicated that the incident may have stemmed from an old feud or personal dispute. “We are interrogating several suspects and checking possible motives,” said a source.

The shooting has sparked fear and tension across Millat Nagar. Local residents have urged the administration to increase night patrols and strengthen security measures.

On the other hand, police appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid spreading rumors as the investigation continues.
