Naval Tata Hockey Academy triumphs over Khunti in thrilling final match

The Naval Tata Hockey Academy (NTHA) team emerged victorious in a high-stakes final against Khunti at the Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior State Hockey Championship 2024 (Men) concluded with NTHA securing a decisive win against Khunti.

The championship’s final match showcased an impressive display of skill and athleticism from both teams.

NTHA dominated the field, securing a 6-0 victory against Khunti.

Despite the loss, Khunti’s Praween earned the Player of the Match title for his exceptional performance.

In the hardliners’ match, Simdega triumphed over Ranchi with a 3-0 score.

Rohit Minj from Simdega was recognized as the Player of the Match in this contest.

Tournament Structure and Participation

The championship, organized under Hockey Jharkhand’s supervision, featured eight teams from various Jharkhand districts.

Teams were divided into two pools:

Pool A

Pool B

NTHA

Simdega

Gumla

Ranchi

West Singhbhum

Hazaribagh

Khunti

East Singhbhum

All matches were held at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy in Jamshedpur.

Teams were accommodated at the JRD Tata Sports Complex during the tournament.
