Minister Sanjay Seth Inaugurates Gallery, Launches ‘Swadeshi Apnaaye’ Poster

JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry marked its Platinum Jubilee by unveiling a photo gallery dedicated to its former honorary general secretaries.

The ceremony took place on August 30, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Chamber Bhawan. Defence Minister of State Sanjay Seth inaugurated the gallery as chief guest.

On the occasion, the minister also launched a poster titled “Swadeshi Apnaaye, Aatmanirbhar Bharat Banaaye” to encourage local products. Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia shared this information.

Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka said the gallery honored past secretaries for their contribution to business and entrepreneurship. He noted that a President Photo Gallery had been inaugurated earlier in 2023.

The list of former secretaries honored includes names from 1948 to 2021. For instance, Harinarayan Parikh served until 1948, Mohini Mohan Dutta between 1948 and 1952, and Shyamji Bhai N. Tonk from 1952 to 1962. Others such as Satyanarayan Mittal, Ramavatar Chachra, D.P. Sarawgi, and Surendra Sonthalia also held multiple terms.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Seth acknowledged the Chamber’s role as a bridge between government, administration, and entrepreneurs. He stated, “The Chamber has consistently resolved industry-related problems and contributed to national growth.”

He further mentioned that the Defence Ministry is working vigorously to make India self-reliant in defence. A Defence Expo will be organized in Ranchi on September 19-21, 2025, to showcase essential defence materials to entrepreneurs.

After the gallery inauguration, former secretaries and relatives of deceased secretaries received mementos from the minister.

In addition, a poster listing indigenous products was released to promote awareness. Vice President Anil Modi said it will be displayed across the city in support of the Prime Minister’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Advocate Rajeev Agrawal, Puneet Kanwatia, Abhishek Agrawal Goldy, Bharat Makani, Anshul Ringasia, Binod Sharma, Suresh Sharma Lipu, Treasurer CA Anil Ringasia, and many past presidents and members.
