Ceremony Marks Beginning of Centenary Year Celebration of Durga Puja

JAMSHEDPUR – The Golmuri Durga Puja Committee conducted the bhumi pujan for its grand pandal at Circus Maidan under Vedic rituals on Sunday.
The ritual was performed under the guidance of priest Rakesh Pandey. Former BJP district president Dinesh Kumar, committee president Manoj Khatri, and social worker Shiv Shankar Singh attended as main yajmans. The event was also graced by several committee members and dignitaries.
President Manoj Khatri stated that this year marks the centenary celebration of the Durga Puja. The pandal will be inaugurated on Mahalaya, and it will remain open for devotees throughout the ten days. Known for its large scale and unique themes, the Golmuri pandal has previously highlighted subjects like Facebook, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s memory, and the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year too, a grand theme-based pandal will be created. Several local residents and members, including Pappu Upadhyay, Probir Chatterjee Rana, Kamal Agarwal, Sumit Kumar Agarwal, Amish Agarwal, Kamal Gupta, Bunty Agarwal, Shankar Agarwal, Raja Agarwal, Rahul Gupta, Raju Prajapati, Sahil Khatri, Rajiv Sarkar, Vineet Sehgal, Raunak Khatri, Sandeep Aich, Sumit Sharma, Abhishek, and Mantu were present.
