20-Year-Old Artist Part of Bronze-Winning Team for ‘The Hearing Heart’

JAMSHEDPUR – Mohammed Aquil, a 20-year-old 3D VFX artist from Jamshedpur, has earned international recognition as part of a 15-member creative team that won the Bronze International Award at the MAAC 24FPS International Animation Awards 2024 in Mumbai.
The award-winning short film, titled The Hearing Heart, portrays a deaf and mute girl who experiences music through nature. Aquil contributed to 3D modeling, texturing, and visual storytelling, helping to bring the emotional narrative to life alongside his team.

Born and raised in Jamshedpur, Aquil began his journey into 3D animation in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown. At that time, he studied entirely online while working on freelance projects.
Later, he refined his skills at MAAC Kolkata, focusing on stylized characters, props, and immersive environments. “Being part of this project is a huge milestone and a proud moment for me and my city,” he said.
Aquil completed his Class 10 at ADL Sunshine School and pursued his Class 11 and 12 at Karim City College in Mango. He is currently pursuing his graduation at Karim City College, Sakchi campus.
