MEDININAGAR – The Palamu district administration has approved 336 applications under the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana to benefit local artisans and craftsmen. The decision was made during a meeting at the DC office on Wednesday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shashi Ranjan.
Application Review and Approval
During the meeting, officials reviewed 673 applications from various blocks in the district. After careful scrutiny, 336 applications were found eligible, while 337 applications with errors were rejected. The approved applications will now be forwarded to the state government for further processing.
Ensuring Benefits for Eligible Artisans
DC Ranjan assured that all eligible beneficiaries will receive financial aid and skill development opportunities under the scheme. He directed officials to actively verify applications at the block level to ensure only deserving applicants benefit.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including District Industry Center General Manager Rajkumar Paswan, District Employment Officer Dhananjay Kumar, Lead Bank Representative Vinod Tiwari, JSLPS DPM Anita Kerketta, and Chief Minister’s Small and Cottage Industry Development Board Coordinator Chandrakant Pandey.

DC Ranjan instructed officials to streamline the verification process and ensure all eligible artisans receive timely benefits. The administration also plans to conduct awareness programs to encourage more craftsmen to apply.
