JAMSHEDPUR – The SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone) Club and Tata Steel organized a Road Safety Month celebration on January 27, 2025, at Kudy Mahanty Auditorium. The event brought together students and teachers from 29 schools to promote awareness about road safety and responsible driving.
Inauguration and Key Discussions
The event was inaugurated by DSP Traffic, Jamshedpur, Shri Neeraj Kumar, who spoke about the legal aspects of traffic violations and the importance of learners’ licenses. Mr. Neeraj Kumar Sinha, Chief Safety, Tata Steel, delivered a talk on defensive driving techniques and highlighted the dangers of rash driving and overspeeding.
Interactive Quiz and Activities
The Young Indians team of CII conducted an engaging quiz, presenting case studies and questions related to road safety. The sessions aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness among participants.
Participation and Coordination
Approximately 300 students and teachers attended the sessions, which were coordinated by Ms. Mom Mitra, Area Manager, Safety, and Convenor of SAFE. Mr. Sunil Kumar, Head Workplace Safety, welcomed the speakers, and Mr. Udit Verma, Head Road Safety, Tata Steel, extended a vote of thanks.
