NEW DELHI – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced rigorous guidelines for the 2025 board examinations to ensure fair practices and maintain the integrity of the evaluation process.
Electronic Devices and Unfair Means
CBSE has prohibited the use of electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, or any other gadgets inside examination halls. Students caught with such items will face the immediate cancellation of their exams in the relevant subject. These measures aim to prevent cheating and misuse of technology during the exams.
Severe Penalties for Malpractices
The board has outlined penalties for various malpractices. Students found impersonating others during the examination will face a three-year ban from appearing for future exams. Additionally, any attempt to disrupt the examination process will be dealt with strict disciplinary actions.
Dress Code Regulations
A mandatory dress code has been enforced for all candidates. Regular students must appear in their school uniforms, while private candidates are required to wear light-colored clothing. These measures aim to maintain uniformity and discipline among students.
Schedule and Scope of the Exams
The CBSE board exams are set to commence on February 15, 2025, with over 44 lakh students expected to appear for exams in 204 subjects. Detailed instructions regarding permitted and prohibited items, as well as other exam-related guidelines, have been made available on the official CBSE website.
