RANCHI – The India Meteorological Department has forecast a fresh cold wave across Jharkhand with temperatures dropping significantly from Saturday.

North-westerly winds will dominate the weather pattern. Meanwhile, current temperatures remain stable until Friday.

A cyclonic circulation hovers over West Rajasthan. However, another system persists over Southeast Rajasthan at lower altitude.

Current Temperature Records

Gumla emerged as the coldest district at 7.8°C. Meanwhile, Chatra recorded 8.6°C.

Ranchi registered 12°C minimum temperature. Moreover, Jamshedpur reported 12.8°C on January 23.

Weather Systems Analysis

The cyclonic circulation extends 1.5 km above sea level. Additionally, meteorologists monitor its movement over Haryana.

“Cold conditions will intensify after Friday,” stated a weather expert. Moreover, rural areas may experience severe cold.
