Senior Citizens Engage in Fun and Fitness Activities by Tata Steel

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Sports Department conducted two engaging programs for senior citizens as part of the Senior Citizen Fun and Fitness League 2024-25. The events were organized on January 17 and 18, focusing on promoting health and active lifestyles among elderly participants.
On January 17, a yoga session was held at the National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) Auditorium, attracting around 100 participants. The following day, recreational activities and games were organized at the Archery Ground of JRD Tata Sports Complex, with 30 senior citizens enthusiastically joining the events.
Successful Coordination of Events
The programs were coordinated by Dinesh Rakhit and Neelam Kumari, with the support of other members of Tata Steel’s Sports Department. Their combined efforts ensured the smooth execution of the activities, which aimed to engage and energize the senior community.
Ongoing Initiative for Senior Citizens
The Senior Citizen Fun and Fitness League is a continued effort by Tata Steel to encourage active participation among seniors. So far, eight events have been successfully organized during the current fiscal year, with plans for more activities in the coming months.
These initiatives reflect Tata Steel’s commitment to fostering a healthy and inclusive community, emphasizing the importance of fitness and recreational opportunities for all age groups.
