JAMSHEDPUR – Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a large rally in Potka on Saturday, urging voters to elect BJP candidate Meera Munda and strengthen the party’s position in Jharkhand to ensure security and prosperity for the region.
Shah, joined by former Union Minister and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and senior BJP leaders, began his speech with resounding slogans of "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram," echoed by the supportive crowd.
During his address, he accused the current JMM-Congress-RJD alliance government of widespread corruption, alleging misuse of public funds and lack of transparency.
“The state has seen only corruption under the JMM-Congress-RJD rule, with crores seized by the Enforcement Directorate from close associates of the ruling party,” Shah stated, highlighting the BJP’s pledge to improve governance.
BJP’s Promise for Jharkhand’s Development
Amit Shah further outlined the BJP’s "five pledges" for Jharkhand, which focus on securing land, livelihood, and local welfare.
He emphasized that if elected, the BJP would fully implement various welfare schemes at the grassroots level, prioritizing the safety of citizens and strengthening Jharkhand’s development.
According to Shah, the BJP is committed to addressing issues around “roti, beti, and mati” (livelihood, security, and land) and ensuring the effective rollout of central welfare programs.
Criticism of Opposition Alliance
Shah also launched a critique against the India Alliance parties, accusing them of failing to address Jharkhand’s core issues and prioritizing power over people.
He credited the central government’s various welfare initiatives, contrasting these with the alleged failures of the current state administration.
The rally concluded with Shah urging the large crowd to back Meera Munda and help the BJP bring about real change in Jharkhand.
