SERAIKELA – A chilling incident unfolded in Dholadih village, under Rajnagar police jurisdiction, as locals discovered the body of a 67-year-old widow, Lakshmi Banra, early Tuesday morning. Authorities suspect she was murdered late Monday night by unidentified individuals.

The elderly woman, who lived alone after her husband’s demise years ago, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Villagers informed the police, who promptly arrived to investigate the scene. However, the motive and details surrounding the murder remain unclear.

Police Efforts to Uncover Truth

Law enforcement officials stated that they are actively pursuing leads to solve the case swiftly. “This is a priority investigation, and we are confident of uncovering the motive and those involved soon,” said a senior officer.

Body Sent for Post-Mortem

The victim’s body has been sent to Seraikela for post-mortem examination. Authorities hope the report will provide critical insights into the cause of death and aid the investigation.
