Fog Persists as Mercury Climbs 3.6°C Amid Continued Winter Chill

RANCHI – Jharkhand experienced a significant temperature increase as minimum temperatures rose by 3.6°C within 24 hours.

The state’s maximum temperature reached 27.2°C. However, it showed a slight decline from 27.6°C recorded earlier.

Light to moderate fog affected several regions. Meanwhile, Jamshedpur recorded the lowest visibility.

Local Impact

Jamshedpur’s maximum temperature touched 25.4°C. Moreover, it remained 1.6°C below normal levels.

The city’s minimum temperature increased to 9°C. However, it stayed 1.1°C below typical readings.

“The current warming trend is temporary,” remarked a meteorological expert.

Regional Variations

Ranchi’s minimum temperature climbed by 2°C. Meanwhile, it reached 9.6°C during the period.

The capital recorded 24.5°C maximum temperature. Furthermore, other cities witnessed similar increases.

A weather analyst noted, “These fluctuations are characteristic of winter transitions.”

Future Forecast

The region expects light to moderate fog. Additionally, partial clouds will persist until January 14.

Temperatures might drop below 10°C after January 15. Moreover, experts predict clearer weather conditions.

“The cold wave may return soon,” suggested a weather monitoring official.
