JAMSHEDPUR – BJP has criticized district administration and police over deteriorating law and order situation, threatening protests if concerns remain unaddressed.
Party leaders submitted a memorandum to the Senior Superintendent of Police highlighting various issues. The party set a 10-day deadline for concrete action.
“Drug trafficking has spread across most police station areas,” said Sanjeev Singh, BJP city general secretary. “It’s severely impacting our youth.”
Major Concerns
Illegal sand mining has become rampant in Sidhgora and Birsanagar areas. Moreover, government lands face unauthorized sales in the Birsanagar region.
Meanwhile, anti-social elements create nuisance at major intersections. Furthermore, incidents of snatching have increased across several police station areas.
Safety Issues
The party expressed concerns about women’s safety in the city. Additionally, they highlighted the atmosphere of fear among students and general public.
