MEDININAGAR – The Sanatan Society staged a mass protest march on Tuesday, condemning the continued atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. The demonstration started from Gayatri Mandir Road in Sudna and concluded at the court premises after passing through key areas, including Sudna Over Bridge and Satyarth Society Chowk.
A large number of participants, including men and women, carried placards demanding justice and peace. The march culminated in a sit-in protest where speakers voiced concerns about the growing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
Concerns Raised and Demands Made
Addressing the gathering, Sanatan Society leader Gopal Ji urged for an immediate end to the destruction of Hindu temples, monasteries, and other religious sites by extremist groups in Bangladesh. He expressed deep concerns over inhumane atrocities on women and highlighted the suppression of democratic protests by Bangladeshi Hindus.
The gathering also demanded the release of ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishnadas, who they claimed was unjustly imprisoned. “The silence of Islamic nations and global human rights organizations raises serious questions about their stance on minority rights,” Gopal Ji remarked.
Memorandum Submitted to DC
Following the protest, the demonstrators submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India through the Deputy Commissioner, urging the Indian government to take effective steps for restoring peace and ensuring justice for Hindus in Bangladesh.

The protest witnessed participation from leaders like Dr. Shashi Bhushan Mehta, MLA of Panki; Alok Chaurasia, MLA of Daltonganj; and ISKCON’s Sanjay Pandey. Other notable attendees included Vashishtha Narayan Acharya, Aruna Shankar, and Gayatri Shaktipeeth’s Ambika Singh. The event was moderated by Naveen Kumar Sahay.
