Jamshedpur’s Loyola School Hosts Workshop for Drug-Free India Campaign

The Drug-Free India campaign marked its stride in Jamshedpur with a workshop at Loyola School, focusing on educating students, parents, and officials on the rising drug menace.

JAMSHEDPUR – As part of the drug-free India campaign, a one-day workshop was held on Saturday at Loyola School Fasy Auditorium, Jamshedpur.

The event was attended by administrative officers of the district, including Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeon, students from various city schools, their parents, and school representatives.

The aim of the two-session workshop was to combat the growing influence of drugs in the Kolhan region.

Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav emphasized the critical nature of the drug problem in Jamshedpur and surrounding districts.

She highlighted the need for unified efforts to disrupt the drug supply chain and protect society, especially schoolchildren who are increasingly falling prey to this menace.

The Deputy Commissioner engaged in a detailed discussion about the side effects of drugs with the students, urging them to avoid substance abuse.

She instructed police and administrative officials to maintain strict vigilance around schools and nearby shops.

The Deputy Commissioner also announced that similar workshops would be conducted every three months in different parts of the city to spread awareness about the ill-effects of drugs to as many people as possible.

She stressed the importance of a coordinated effort from the police, administration, and local residents of the three districts to successfully disrupt the drug supply chain.

She concluded by expressing her concerns about the industrial town of Jamshedpur’s youth falling victim to drug addiction, labeling it as a warning sign for future times.
