LLB Admissions at Co-op Law College Face Year-Long Delay

BCI Approval Pending for 2024-27 Session at Kolhan University’s Only Law College

Key Points:

  • Admission process delayed pending Bar Council of India approval
  • Academic session for 2024-27 pushed back by approximately one year
  • College’s 120 LLB seats affected by third consecutive annual delay

JAMSHEDPUR – Kolhan University’s sole law college faces another significant setback as LLB admissions get postponed pending regulatory approval.

The Co-operative Law College continues to navigate challenging times. The Bar Council of India’s approval remains pending.

Moreover, this impacts the institution’s three-year LLB program significantly. The entrance exam notification will come in February 2025.

Meanwhile, the entrance examination is scheduled for March 2025. The results will be published in April 2025.

Furthermore, the final admission process will conclude by June 2025. This creates a one-year delay in the academic calendar.

The situation affects 120 aspiring law students. The admission process relies solely on entrance examination performance.

In addition, this marks the third consecutive year of delays. Students face extended completion times for their degrees.

“The repeated delays severely impact our academic planning,” says a faculty source

However, the college maintains its position as a crucial legal institution. It remains the only law college in Kolhan University.

On the other hand, the BCI approval process involves rigorous quality checks. The council ensures maintenance of educational standards.

Besides, similar delays affected other law colleges in Jharkhand previously. The state has witnessed multiple instances of delayed approvals.

Furthermore, the National Law University in Ranchi faced comparable challenges. They resolved their approval issues recently.
