Medininagar – A retired teacher, Parikhan Singh, was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon in Halumad village under Satbarwa police station, Palamu district. The crime has sparked shock and confusion among locals as police intensify investigations.
Police discovered Singh’s body on Sunday morning after villagers noticed it lying near the roadside. Items such as a torch were recovered from the scene. Singh’s throat had been slit, confirming the use of a sharp weapon. Police suspect foul play and are utilizing sniffer dogs to gather leads.

Parikhan Singh, a respected figure in the village, had led an active life even after retirement. In 2009, he contested the Manika assembly seat and had also participated in panchayat and district council elections.
