JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has demonstrated its political supremacy in West Singhbhum by capturing four assembly seats.
Sukhram Hembram maintained his grip on Chakradharpur. He defeated BJP’s Shashi Bhushan Samad by 9,303 votes.
Meanwhile, Deepak Birua secured his third consecutive victory in Chaibasa. His win reinforces JMM’s stronghold.
Moreover, Jagat Majhi emerged victorious in Manoharpur. He follows the political legacy of his sister, MP Joba Majhi.
However, the most remarkable victory came from Manjhgaon. Niral Purty secured 94,163 votes there.
Furthermore, Purty’s winning margin of 59,603 votes set a new record. This marked his third straight win.
On the other hand, Congress candidate Sona Ram Sinku won in Jagannathpur. He defeated Geeta Koda by 7,383 votes.
"The results reflect people’s trust in development-focused politics," remarked a senior political analyst.
Besides, this election marked Geeta Koda’s second consecutive defeat. She had earlier lost the MP elections.
In addition, JMM’s success highlights its strong grassroots connection. The party focused on local issues and tribal rights.
Meanwhile, BJP struggled to maintain its presence. Their candidates failed to match JMM’s local appeal.
Furthermore, the INDI alliance showed remarkable coordination. This contributed to their overwhelming success.
"Development and accountability were key factors for voters," noted a local political observer.
