JAMSHEDPUR – In the crucial Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency, JDU candidate Saryu Roy has established a significant lead over Congress’s Banna Gupta. After six rounds of counting, Roy has secured 39,999 votes, leaving Gupta trailing by 23,115 votes with 16,884 votes.
The contest, closely watched due to the prominence of both candidates, has seen smaller parties and independents struggle to make an impact. Among them, BSP candidate Vrindavan Das has managed only 225 votes, while AIMIM’s Rashid Hussain secured 62 votes. NOTA (None of the Above) registered 596 votes, reflecting minor voter dissatisfaction.
