Palamu Officials Review Final Preparations for Vote Counting

JAMSHEDPUR – Palamu District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla chaired a crucial meeting to review preparations for the upcoming vote counting process.

The meeting focused on assessing the readiness of the arrangements and ensuring strict compliance with Election Commission guidelines.

No lapses in the counting process will be tolerated, according to Shukla.

Transparent and Secure Counting Process

During the meeting, the DC stressed that transparency and security are top priorities for the vote counting process.

He directed officials to diligently fulfill their responsibilities at every stage to ensure the process runs smoothly.

Extensive security measures and proper arrangements will be in place at the counting venue.

Preparations for Media and Logistics

Shukla issued instructions for ensuring adequate facilities at the counting venue, including water, electricity, furniture, and signage boards.

A media center equipped with digital screens and internet connectivity will be set up to provide real-time updates.

Other arrangements, such as fire brigade services and IT infrastructure, including computers and operators, were also finalized.

Seating arrangements for counting staff, media personnel, and representatives of political parties were discussed.

Postal Ballot and Strongroom Arrangements

Officials responsible for the strongroom and postal ballot counting briefed the DC on their preparations.

The training branch was instructed to complete the ongoing training sessions for counting staff promptly.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Prabhat Kumar Bardiyar, ITDA Project Director Ashish Agarwal, Assistant Additional Collector Kumar Rajat, and several other senior district officials.
