JAMSHEDPUR – Assam Chief Minister and BJP election in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed a public rally in Tundi, Dhanbad, supporting BJP candidate Vikas Kumar Mahato for the assembly elections.

Speaking at the Madayadih Stadium, Sarma accused the Hemant Soren government of neglecting governance and fostering divisive policies.

Cultural and Religious Allegations

Sarma criticized the government for policies he claimed discriminated against Hindus.

He alleged that schools in certain districts remain closed on Fridays for religious reasons but fail to recognize Hindu traditions.

He stated, "If they close schools for Friday prayers, we should have holidays for Hanuman puja on Tuesdays."

He further accused the government of obstructing Hindu festivals like Ram Navami while promoting Moharram processions.

"Ram Navami processions are banned, but Moharram processions are allowed. This government is against Hindus and favors cultural infiltration," he said.

Governance and Corruption

Sarma highlighted alleged failures in governance, including unfulfilled promises of employment and welfare schemes.

He claimed, "Hemant Soren promised five lakh jobs but delivered none. Even widows and the elderly haven’t received pensions for six months."

He also accused the administration of corruption, citing instances where officials allegedly demanded bribes for housing under welfare schemes.

Promises by BJP

Sarma assured voters that a BJP-led government would focus on economic development, cultural preservation, and welfare reforms.

He pledged ₹2,500 for widows and ₹2,100 for daughters-in-law under a revised pension scheme.

He also promised housing for 21 lakh families and a crackdown on corruption.

Sarma concluded by urging unity among voters to elect the BJP, saying, "This election is not just about candidates; it’s about saving our culture and society."
