* Congress seeks FIR against BJP social media account managers
RANCHI – Congress has escalated its confrontation with BJP by filing a fresh complaint seeking suspension of the party’s social media accounts.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh submitted the complaint to the Election Commission.
Moreover, the complaint centers on a video allegedly depicting JMM’s bias toward a minority community.
The video reportedly features an actor resembling Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Furthermore, Congress has requested removal of all divisive content from BJP’s social media platforms.
However, this follows an earlier complaint where BJP allegedly failed to remove objectionable content.
Meanwhile, Ramesh emphasized that the video aimed to influence voters against opposition parties.
In addition, Congress seeks criminal action against BJP’s social media account managers.
On the other hand, the previous complaint on November 10 addressed alleged anti-tribal content.
Besides, Congress claims BJP has grown bolder due to lack of action on earlier complaints.
