JAMSHEDPUR – The Rajasthan Shiv Mandir in Jugsalai lit up with the glow of 5001 diyas on Friday evening as devotees gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Dev Deepawali.

The event, which aligns with Kartik Purnima, saw the temple premises beautifully illuminated.

Devotees participated in a grand Maha Aarti, and prasad was distributed at the end of the celebration.

Dev Deepawali, deeply rooted in Sanatan traditions, is believed to commemorate the divine celebration by gods in heaven on Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.

This tradition has extended to temples and sacred rivers across India, where devotees recreate the celestial festival on earth.

As part of this tradition, Rajasthan Shiv Mandir hosts this grand event annually, drawing devotees from across Jamshedpur.

The celebration included the lighting of thousands of diyas, creating a mesmerizing sight.

Attendees included men, women, and young devotees who contributed to the joyous atmosphere.

The successful event was organized by the Rajasthan Shiv Mandir Committee, led by President Chhitarmal Dhoot, General Secretary Arun Agarwal, and Treasurer Deepak Agarwal Ramuka, along with other committee members and Shri Rani Sati Satsang Samiti.
