JAMSHEDPUR – In a show of solidarity, members of the Rajak community held a significant gathering at Kadma’s Ranikudar Dhobi Ghat, chaired by Raja Ram Rajak, to pledge their support for NDA candidate Saryu Roy in Jamshedpur West.
The meeting featured prominent leaders, including JDU senior leader and former Bihar Minister Shyam Rajak, who addressed the community, calling for unified support for Roy.
Community members were urged to vote for Roy by selecting the Cylinder symbol, number 12 on the EVM, in the upcoming election on November 13.
Following the meeting, leaders and supporters embarked on a door-to-door campaign, distributing pamphlets and leaflets to spread the message.
Key attendees included JDU Youth State President Nirmal Singh, State General Secretary Roshan Kumar Sharma, District President Rana Pratap Singh, and other notable Rajak community figures, along with BJP OBC Morcha leaders.
In related support, Union Minister of Agriculture and Welfare Ramnath Thakur endorsed Roy’s candidacy, emphasizing his roots in the JP Movement and his reputation for integrity and competence.
Speaking at a press conference at the NDA’s main election office in Sakchi, Thakur asserted, “Saryu Roy is a clean and capable leader, and his victory is certain.”
He emphasized NDA’s united front in Jharkhand, noting strong public backing for Roy’s election bid.
Additional voices supporting Roy included Bihar BJP’s Manoj Gupta, who framed the election as a choice between “secularism and unity.”
Present at the conference were JDU Bihar State General Secretary Banarsi Thakur and various leaders from Bihar and Jharkhand.
