Tata Power Posts Record Q2 PAT of ₹1,533 Crore, Up 51% YoY

Company Reports Strong Performance Across Generation, Transmission, and Renewable Segments

* Consolidated EBITDA rises 23% to ₹3,808 Crore in Q2FY25

* Solar manufacturing unit achieves significant milestone with 2 GW cell line

* Company maintains growth momentum for 20th consecutive quarter

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Power achieved its highest quarterly profit after tax of ₹1,533 Crore, marking a 51% year-on-year increase.

The company recorded consolidated revenue of ₹15,247 Crore during Q2FY25.

Moreover, the Tamil Nadu solar manufacturing facility commenced 2 GW cell production.

Meanwhile, the rooftop solar division installed 111 MW capacity this quarter.

Furthermore, the company expanded its EV charging network to 5,675 points across 590 cities.

In addition, Tata Power acquired a 40% stake in Bhutan’s 600-MW Khorlochhu Hydro project.

The transmission portfolio expanded to 7,049 circuit kilometers.

However, the Q2 revenue showed a marginal 1% decline compared to the previous year.

On the other hand, S&P Global Ratings upgraded Tata Power to ‘BBB-‘ with a positive outlook.

Besides, the company has utilized ₹9,100 Crore of its planned ₹20,000 Crore annual capex.
