Palamu Police intensify crackdown on drug trafficking network spanning Bihar and Jharkhand

MEDININAGAR – Palamu police apprehended two drug traffickers, including a woman, during a targeted operation in Chianki area, seizing brown sugar worth Rs 2.28 lakh.
The operation was executed following a confidential tip-off about drug movement in the area.
Moreover, Town Police Station Officer Devavrat Poddar led the successful raid near Chianki.
Meanwhile, the arrested suspects have been identified as Sandeep Kumar Gaur from Sonpurwa and Durga Devi from Chianki.
Furthermore, the investigation revealed connections to a larger drug network centered in Bihar.
"The narcotics supply chain originates from Sasaram and reaches Garhwa before distribution in Palamu," disclosed a police source.
In addition, two more suspects failed to reach the delivery location during the operation.
However, the police have launched a manhunt for Birendra, the alleged mastermind from Sasaram.
On the other hand, SDO Amardeep Singh Balhotra supervised the operation with SI Sonu Chaudhary.
"This seizure marks a significant breakthrough in our anti-drug operations," stated a senior investigating officer.
