JAMSHEDPUR – Cyclone Remal is expected to make landfall between Sagar Island in West Bengal and Khepupara in Bangladesh, bringing with it extremely heavy rainfall on May 26th and 27th.

The cyclone’s impending impact has led to the suspension of flight operations from Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport for 21 hours.

Various districts in West Bengal and neighboring states are anticipated to experience strong winds and heavy rains.

Authorities have issued warnings to ensure the safety of residents and to prepare for the severe weather conditions.

The suspension of flight operations is a precautionary measure to mitigate risks associated with the cyclone’s strong winds and potential flooding.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay indoors and follow safety protocols issued by local authorities.

The cyclone is expected to bring significant disruption to daily life, with heavy rainfall and strong winds impacting coastal regions and beyond.
