RANCHI – The Election Commission of India is set to issue the notification for the second phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 on October 22, initiating the nomination process for 38 seats.
The announcement marks the commencement of electoral activities for the upcoming polls.
In this phase, 3 seats are designated for Scheduled Castes and 8 for Scheduled Tribes.
Candidates have until October 29 to submit their nomination papers.
The scrutiny of these documents will occur on October 30.
November 1 is the deadline for nomination withdrawals.
The second phase of voting is slated for November 20.
Vote counting for all 81 assembly seats will take place on November 23.
Officials anticipate the conclusion of the entire election process by November 25.

The notification extends to Mahagama, Ramgarh, and Mandu as well.
Dhanwar, Bagodar, and Jamua (SC) are among the included seats.
Gandey, Giridih, and Dumri also feature in this phase.
The list further comprises Gomia, Bermo, and Bokaro.
Chandankiyari (SC), Sindri, and Nirsa are additional constituencies.
Dhanbad, Jharia, and Tundi are also included in this phase.
The notification rounds off with Baghmara, Silli, and Khijri (ST).
