JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy initiates construction of a new hall at Tinplate Andhra Middle School, addressing a long-standing need.
The foundation stone laying ceremony took place on Monday, marking the beginning of the ₹15 lakh project.
Funded through the MLA’s Local Area Development Fund, the hall aims to enhance the school’s facilities.
Roy expressed optimism about the swift commencement of construction work on the new hall.
Moreover, the project revives an initiative that began 32 years ago but was halted due to financial constraints.
Shiva Raju, Secretary of Tinplate Andhra Club, shared the school’s history dating back to October 12, 1965.
He extended gratitude to MLA Saryu Roy for breathing new life into the long-awaited hall project.
Currently, the school serves over 200 children, providing education up to the seventh grade.
In addition, students benefit from government-sponsored uniforms and midday meals at the institution.
Meanwhile, the event saw attendance from various local leaders and officials.
BJP (M) district president Subodh Srivastava was among the notable attendees at the foundation stone laying ceremony.
Furthermore, Hara Ram Singh, the MLA’s public representative, joined the gathering to show support.
Several club members and community leaders also participated in the momentous occasion.
The new hall is expected to significantly improve the learning environment for the school’s students.
