JAMSHEDPUR – Durga Puja celebrations in Jamshedpur are in full swing with tight security and administrative measures in place for idol immersion.
The district administration of East Singhbhum has made elaborate preparations for Durga Puja and the upcoming idol immersions. Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has overseen arrangements, including security provisions and infrastructural setups.
ADM Law and Order Aniket Sachan, along with Sub-Divisional Officer Shatabdi Majumdar and JNAC Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, inspected the preparations at several immersion sites, including Domuhani, Naya Pul, Sati Ghat, and Swarnarekha Ghat in Mango.
During their inspections, they reviewed essential arrangements like road repairs, lighting, barricading, danger zone marking, and installation of CCTV cameras. All sites now have CCTV surveillance, and the remaining barricade work will be completed by tonight.
Additionally, magistrates, police officers, and forces will be stationed at each immersion site. The administration will also monitor the areas through drone surveillance, with videography to ensure thorough oversight of the event.
