JAMSHEDPUR – Kalpana Soren, MLA and wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, commenced the second day of the Maiyaan Samman Yatra in Jamshedpur, emphasizing women’s empowerment and criticizing the opposition.

The event began with a solemn tribute to Nirmal Mahto at Kadma’s Uliyan.

Kalpana Soren honored the sacrifices made for Jharkhand’s statehood.

She accused the BJP of attempting to undermine the vision of a self-governed Jharkhand.

"The opposition’s efforts will be futile," declared a confident Kalpana Soren.

She predicted a JMM victory in the upcoming elections under Hemant Soren’s leadership.

The Maiyaan Scheme, providing monthly financial support to women, was highlighted as a key initiative.

Kalpana Soren praised Minister Baby Devi’s contributions to women’s empowerment.

She criticized the BJP’s approach to women’s issues and their political motivations.

JMM women workers warmly welcomed the convoy at Mango Khudiram Bose Roundabout.

The journey continued to Dimna Chowk, where tribal and native communities greeted the leaders.

A local resident remarked, "The Maiyaan Scheme has been a game-changer for many women in our community."

Women’s Empowerment Initiatives

The government’s focus on women’s empowerment has garnered significant attention.

The Maiyaan Scheme aims to make women aged 18 to 50 financially self-reliant.

Critics argue that more comprehensive measures are needed for long-term empowerment.

However, supporters maintain that the scheme is a step in the right direction.

An economist stated, "While financial support is crucial, skill development programs should complement such initiatives."

The impact of these measures on the upcoming elections remains to be seen.
