Key Points:

• Hemant Soren accuses BJP of provoking people on caste and religion

• Jharkhand government waives Rs 400 crore farm loans for 1.77 lakh farmers

• CM alleges BJP’s 20-year rule ruined state’s water, forest, and land resources

RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren criticizes BJP leaders, accusing them of caste-based and religious provocation ahead of upcoming state assembly elections.

Soren addressed a government function in Ranchi on Thursday.

During the event, he announced a Rs 400 crore farm loan waiver for 1.77 lakh farmers.

This move follows an earlier waiver of up to Rs 50,000 for 4.73 lakh farmers.

"Earlier, the government waived farm loans of up to Rs 50,000," Soren stated.

He added that the government then decided to increase the waiver limit to Rs 2 lakh.

The CM accused the BJP of ruining Jharkhand’s natural resources over 20 years.

Moreover, he alleged that BJP leaders are "hovering" across the state due to upcoming elections.

"They will be seen only for once and thereafter they will disappear," Soren remarked.

He warned people to beware of BJP leaders spreading communal tension.

Furthermore, Soren criticized the Centre’s previous farm laws.

He claimed these laws were meant to "sell the country’s farmers to the traders."

The CM also attacked the Centre’s financial priorities.

He alleged that the government lacks funds for farmers but not for waiving "capitalist friends’" loans.

Soren highlighted his government’s achievements in fulfilling basic necessities.

These include waiving farm loans, electricity dues, and providing free electricity up to 200 units.

The CM accused the BJP of "disturbing" his government for two years.

"When they failed in their attempt, they put me behind the bars on false charges," he claimed.

Soren’s statements come as Jharkhand prepares for assembly elections later this year.

His accusations against the BJP set a confrontational tone for the upcoming polls.
