Municipal council conducts cleanliness drive and health camp for residents

JAMSHEDPUR – Jugsalai Municipal Council kicked off a series of cleanliness and health initiatives as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0.
The campaign focuses on the theme "Swabhaav Swachhata- Sanskar Swachhata" this year.
It highlights four key areas including Swachhata Participation and Total Sanitation.
Moreover, a cleanliness drive was conducted across public and community toilets on Tuesday.
The initiative covered urinals and other sanitation facilities in the Jugsalai area.
Meanwhile, a Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp was held at Purani Basti Seva Nagar Ward No. 3.
This camp featured health check-ups for sanitation workers and local residents.
Furthermore, medical professionals like Dr. Ranveer Pathak and Dr. Sahib conducted the examinations.
The event saw participation from children, women, men, and elderly residents.
On the other hand, Executive Officer Sandeep Paswan and City Manager Rajendra Kumar attended.
Their presence underscored the municipal council’s commitment to the campaign.
Additionally, other key officials like Junior Engineer Tanuj Jain were also present.
The initiative aims to make sanitation and public health a community priority.
This campaign is set to culminate in the Swachh Bharat Diwas on October 2, 2024.
