• Residents claim repeated complaints ignored by electricity department

JAMSHEDPUR – A major tragedy was averted on Birsa Road when an aging 11,000-volt electricity wire snapped in a densely populated tribal area.

The live wire remained electrified after falling, creating a hazardous situation.

Moreover, an eight-year-old boy, Aniket, narrowly escaped electrocution while cycling.

The electric blast threw Aniket off his bicycle, saving him from direct contact.

Furthermore, BJP leader Vikas Singh was alerted and rushed to the scene.

Residents informed Singh of numerous ignored complaints about the deteriorating wire.

They accused the electricity department of only performing temporary repairs.

Singh condemned the department’s indifference, emphasizing the risk to locals’ lives.

Additionally, he called for immediate safety measures, including protective netting.

Department officials promised to begin cabling work within 15 days.

However, residents warned of protests if further negligence occurs.

On the other hand, community members united in demanding better safety measures.

The incident highlights the urgent need for infrastructure maintenance in the area.

Meanwhile, locals remain vigilant, fearing potential dangers from aging electrical systems.
